CDX Platform Updated to Support IAEG AD-DSL Version 9.0
Effective August 20, 2025, the Compliance Data eXchange (CDX) has been updated to incorporate the newest version of the International Aerospace Environmental Group (IAEG®) Aerospace and Defense Declarable Substances List (AD-DSL), Version 9.0. All declarations and data exchanges performed on the CDX platform will now utilize this latest industry standard.
This update was released by IAEG® to help the aerospace and defense industry respond to the growing complexity of global chemical substance regulations and maintain rigorous reporting of product-related substance data.
Key Updates in AD-DSL Version 9.0:
The newly updated Version 9.0 of the AD-DSL includes a revised list of declarable substances and clearer definitions. The main changes are:
- Updated Substance List: New substances of concern have been added for improved chemicals management. Additionally, 203 substances were removed from the AD-DSL; a full list of these deletions and the reason for removal is available in the list’s "deletions tab."
- Revised Definitions: The update includes clearer definitions for regulatory criteria, allowing users to better ascertain whether specific substances are subject to product and/or material restrictions, reporting requirements, or a combination of both.
The AD-DSL Version 9.0 was developed through a collaborative effort of IAEG® member companies. Through CDX, these resources are available in various formats to support the supply chain, including an Extensible Markup Language (XML) version that adheres to the IPC-1754 data exchange standard.
