Our Story: From Compliance Challenges to CDX Solutions

In the late 1990s, the automotive industry faced a growing challenge: ensuring compliance with evolving environmental regulations while maintaining efficient global supply chains. To address this, leading automakers collaborated to create the International Material Data System (IMDS) - a centralized platform for tracking and managing material composition in vehicles. IMDS revolutionized compliance reporting, setting a new standard for the automotive industry worldwide.

Building on this foundation, DXC Technology (formerly HP) - a global leader in IT services - recognized the need for a compliance solution that extended beyond automotive. On October 4, 2011, Compliance Data eXchange (CDX) was launched to support manufacturing industries such as electronics, aerospace, and heavy equipment, providing them with a powerful tool to manage global regulations like REACH, RoHS, SCIP, and Conflict Minerals.

Designed to simplify compliance, collaborate across companies along entire supply chains, and drive sustainability, CDX helps companies reduce risk and seamlessly integrate regulatory requirements into their operations.
