WHERE-USED ANALYSIS

Find out which parts contain certain materials or substances

Which parts contain a certain material or basic substance? Where-Used Analysis finds out. Choose what to look for: a material classification, an MDS, a basic substance, a substance group or list, or common and company-specific regulations. For regulations, you can check where substances are referenced above a given threshold. It is one of CDX's most established and widely used analytics capabilities.

Analyses of up to 75,000 nodes per run are covered by CDX Material Data Reporting licenses (Small and above). With CDX Insights, the node limit no longer applies.

DAshboards - REQUESTS

See where requests and suppliers stand

These dashboards give you immediate visibility into your requests and the data coming in.

  • Which supplier requests are still open? Monitor status, progress, response rates, and outstanding actions for the requests you sent.
  • What is coming in, and is it on time? See request volumes, processing status, in-time and overdue requests, requestor activity, and your overall workload.
  • How complete is the data your suppliers send? Track submission trends, supplier activity, acceptance rates, and data completeness for incoming Material Data Sheets.

Interactive filtering, drill-down, and visualizations help you navigate even large datasets quickly.

DASHBOARDS - RISKS

Know which substances carry the most compliance risk

The Substance Risk and Usage dashboard combines a risk analysis with usage details, and answers two questions:

  • Which substances represent the biggest compliance risk in your portfolio?
  • Exactly which components and suppliers are responsible for that exposure?

Search, filter, and drill down to investigate issues and identify trends, or export the results to Excel or CSV for your own analyses. Data is refreshed overnight.

DASHBOARDS - ECHA SUBMISSION

Keep track of your ECHA submissions

The ECHA Submissions dashboard gives you visibility into your SCIP and ECHA submission activities.

  • What is the status of your submissions?
  • How are they doing over time? See trends and success rates.
  • What have you already reported? Look back at your reporting history.

This supports efficient management of your regulatory reporting obligations.

REGULATION OVERVIEW

Analyze regulations across multiple Material Data Sheets in one operation

With the Complete Overview of regulations in CDX, you can check a Material Data Sheet (MDS) against regulations and assess its compliance. This includes REACH Article 33 reporting, so you can identify parts affected by Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs).

For a single MDS, this is included with CDX Material Data Reporting licenses (Small and above). With CDX Insights, you can run the same analysis across multiple MDSs in one operation and add advanced Article 33 reporting and automation.

This lets you evaluate much larger datasets and automate recurring compliance assessments. The analysis runs also as a background job through the CDX WebService Interface (REST API).

Frequently Asked Questions about CDX Insights

What are nodes in CDX?

A node is a single component, material, or substance within a Material Data Sheet (MDS). When you run an analysis in CDX Insights, each item examined counts as one node. The complexity of your MDS structures determines how many nodes an analysis uses.

What's included with a CDX Material Data Reporting license vs CDX Insights?

While several existing capabilities, along with a selection of new features, will remain available free of charge with a CDX Material Data Reporting license (small and above), the more advanced analytics capabilities will require a dedicated CDX Insights add-on license.

Since requirements vary significantly, both in analytical needs and data volumes, access to functionality is separated from the consumption of computing resources. In addition to the CDX Insights licenses, we offer Node Credit packages in different sizes.

These Node Credits work similarly to the tokens used by AI applications, allowing customers to consume computing resources as needed while maintaining flexibility and cost transparency.

Not all CDX Insights capabilities require Node Credits. The following table gives you a better understanding of when they are needed.
