Ordering and Pricing

DXC's Compliance Data Exchange (CDX) pricing structure is stable, transparent and easy to understand - and with no hidden fees.

We offer three pricing and usage options:

  • Receive basic CDX functions for free
  • Purchase a CMD Manager license, for an annual fee, and receive extended functionality to create Conflict Minerals Declarations (CMDs)
  • Create Material Data Sheets (MDSs) with information from your suppliers, with license fees based on the amount of your company's suppliers

Basic Functions - Free

Once your company registers in CDX, each user can manually input RMI-compliant Conflict Minerals Declarations (CMDs) for their products and company at no charge. This includes also the ability to create MDSs and evaluate owned MDSs against legislations.

CMD Manager for Supply Chain Communication

For an annual fee of 500 EUR or $ 600 (USD), your CDX company can receive Conflict Minerals Declarations from your suppliers via CDX. Gathering the information within CDX, which is based on the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI, formerly CFSI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), is free of charge for your suppliers and they benefit fully from the CDX CMD Manager functionalities. Optionally, you can import Conflict Minerals Declarations in CMRT format of your suppliers.

Order your CMD Manager License online in the CDX system. The license order process is part of the CDX system and can be found in menu Administration > CDX Licenses > Order > CMD Package.

We process your order(s) based on our General Terms and Conditions for CDX. Please read them carefully. Please also review the CDX Terms of Use prior to ordering.

Incorporate Material Data Sheets - Prices for Material Data Reporting

Registered users can create and send Material Data Sheets (MDSs) free of charge. Data sheets for own components can also be imported from other formats (IMDS, IPC1752 or IEC62474). For ease of data entry, comprehensive catalogues with Standard Materials and Basic Substances are available.

A CDX license fee is required if you want to receive and continue processing MDSs from your suppliers. You can purchase the appropriate license thru the integrated order process.

The cost of a material data license is based on the size of a company. It depends on the number of suppliers from which your company will receive MDSs and the difference is the available functionality.

The following applies to all licenses:

  • Each license is valid, for the number of licensed suppliers, for 12 months
  • The number of received data sheets per supplier is not limited
  • The number of received versions (updates) per data sheet is not limited

With an Entry License a company can receive and process data sheets for up to 10 suppliers. The "Accept / Reject MDS" functionality, together with the free use of CDX by your suppliers, enables the exchange of material data sheets between you and your suppliers. The full functionality of CDX is available with the next higher license.
