Heavy Equipment Declarable Substances List (HEDSL) available in CDX

May 13, 2026

As of May 13, 2026, the Heavy Equipment Declarable Substance List (HEDSL) Version 4.0 is available in CDX and ready for use.

What is HEDSL?
HEDSL is a single, consolidated reference list of chemical substances of concern for the non-road (heavy) equipment industry, maintained on a global basis. Its purpose is to simplify chemical substance reporting for manufacturers by providing one consistent source of truth. Aim of this is to reduce administrative burden and minimize confusion around compliance and restriction requirements. The list is updated annually by the HEDSL Committee under AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers).

Why it matters for CDX users?
Aligning your declarations with the latest HEDSL version ensures consistency and regulatory accuracy across your supply chain compliance communications.
