At their March 2026 plenary meetings, ECHA's Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) and Socio-Economic Analysis Committee (SEAC) progressed on several active dossiers beyond the PFAS restriction. Both committees advanced restriction work on certain chromium (VI) substances and octocrilene, adopted five opinions on applications for authorisation, and agreed 11 draft opinions to be sent to applicants for comments, from which  all concerning chromium (VI) uses. One further draft opinion agreed by RAC will continue at SEAC's June 2026 plenary.
