What needs to be done before a Company Merge?
Before initiating the merge, the Company Administrator must decide on the new target company structure. There are two options:
Enhance an existing CDX company by adding Org Units.
Create a new target company via online registration (or manual registration if needed) (Is there new cdx license needed???).
When creating the new structure, be sure to follow the recommended guidelines. Check out the CDX Merge User Guide for further details.
Can I retain my original CDX Company IDs?
Certainly! In a standard company merge, the process involves moving all data from one company to another, and subsequently deleting the source company. This applies not only to the ¿roof¿ company but also to all its organizational units. Learn more in the [CDX Merge User Guide].
Should I notify my supplier about the merge?
Yes, customers should be informed in advance to avoid confusion due to changes in your CDX company ID in previously transmitted data. (??? Company ID is changing??)
What happens if my supplier code changes?
If your supplier code changes, check with your supplier to determine if affected data needs to be updated and resubmitted.
How does the merge affect suppliers using in-house systems?
If your supplier use an in-house system, their daily download files will reflect the change in your company ID after the merge.
How does a merge impact my IMDS connect license (former IMDS AI License)?
If the source company has an AI license, it will no longer receive data after the merge. The AI license and user IDs transfer to the target company. The AI license contact may need to request an initial download to collect merged data.
If the target company already had an AI license, its daily download file will reflect transferred data, which may significantly increase in size.
