DXC offers two standardized services to enable smooth restructuring:
When to Use a Company Merge
A CDX company merge is ideal when you want to combine data across business units, harmonize system structures, or simplify compliance operations following organizational changes.
Common scenarios include:
- Moving data from one “roof” company (without organization units) into another
- Consolidating a company with organization units into a target company without units
- Transferring data from a “roof” company into a specific organization unit of a target company
- Mapping multiple source organization units to corresponding units in the target company
Our standardized process supports all common merge configurations, ensuring a smooth and accurate transfer regardless of your setup.
What the Company Merge Service Includes
Our service transfers all core data from one or more CDX companies into a single target company, including:
- Modules and owned material declarations
- Received declarations
- User accounts and contact persons
- All open and completed requests
Everything originating from the source companies is safely consolidated into your target structure.

Contact UsWhen to Use a Company SplitOff
A CDX Company SplitOff is the ideal solution when:
- An organizational unit is being sold or divested
- Business units need to operate under independent CDX identities
- You want to separate data ownership for compliance or structural reasons
- You need to reorganize your CDX presence by redistributing business segments
If your company uses organization units to map business lines, divisions, or plants, a SplitOff allows you to move that structure - and its associated data - to a new roof company.
What the Company SplitOff Service Includes
As part of the split-off process, CDX transfers all eligible data from one or more designated organization units into a separate CDX roof company.
This may include:
- Modules and owned material declarations
- Received declarations
- User accounts within the organization unit
- Requests associated with the data being transferred
Only data that currently resides in the selected organization units can be included in the split-off. Ensuring correct placement is the responsibility of the source company administrator.

Step 3 – Scheduling, Execution & Final Verification
Our CDX specialists coordinate with your designated contact person to schedule the split-off at a time that minimizes disruption.
During the split-off, please note:
- Users from the affected CDX companies must be logged out.
- The designated contact person should remain available for any questions.
After completion, the designated contact person verifies that all company data has been correctly separated and assigned to the appropriate CDX company structures.
Important Considerations
Not all data can be transferred during a split-off. Transferability depends on how declarations reference each other.
Examples of limitations include:
- If a declaration that must stay references a declaration that should be moved, the movable declaration cannot be transferred.
- If both “stay” and “move” declarations reference the same data sheet, the “move” declaration cannot be transferred.
- Only published data sheets can safely be referenced by both staying and moving declarations.
As part of the service, CDX performs analyses to identify any data that cannot be moved. It is essential that administrators review and address these findings before the split-off can proceed.
What You Can Expect:
- A guided, transparent split-off process
- Clear communication with CDX specialists
- Secure handling of all CDX company data
- Minimal downtime during the transition
- Accurate separation of data aligned with your reorganization needs
