Proposition 65 Omnibus 2026: OEHHA to Hold Pre-Rulemaking Workshop on 30 July
California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) will host a workshop on 30 July 2026 to discuss potential amendments to the Proposition 65 regulations. The workshop is part of the Omnibus 2026 Pre-Rulemaking process and will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. PST, with participation available in person at CalEPA Headquarters in Sacramento or online via Zoom.
OEHHA will publish draft regulatory text on its website before the workshop, giving stakeholders advance visibility of the areas under consideration before the discussion begins. While the process is still at the pre-rulemaking stage and no formal changes have been proposed yet, these early consultations are a key opportunity for companies to understand where warning requirements, compliance approaches and product-level risk assessments may be heading.
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings before knowingly exposing individuals in California to chemicals listed as known to cause cancer or reproductive harm. Changes to the regulation can affect warning formats, safe harbour levels, and which products require labelling, making early awareness important for any company placing products on the California market.
More information and registration for the Zoom webinar are available on the OEHHA website.
