Industry Affiliations

The IMDS and CDX teams actively participates in corporate events and trade shows organized globally by industries including Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Electronics, and Aerospace. We invite you to meet with us to discuss your compliance requirements and what we can do to help you achieve your goals. Here are some of the industry groups with whom we work with and some events where you can find us.

IPC
 

IPC connects various parts of Electronics Industry with several client industries: Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Heavy Equipment, Commercial and Consumer Electronics. IPC family of standards, 175X, are XML-schema based and allow an efficient means of data communication on chemicals used in the products. CDX team is an active participant in the development of these standards, especially 1752, 1754 and 1755 and CDX imports and exports product information using these formats.

The IPC holds annual APEX Expo at the beginning of each year and mid-year (SummerCom) standards development event.

International Aerospace Environmental Group (IAEG) 

The International Aerospace Environmental Group (IAEG) is a non-profit organization of global aerospace companies created to collaborate on and share innovative environmental solutions for the industry. IAEG is working to develop standards for supply chain reporting for chemical, environmental and corporate responsibility data reporting. To help OEMs in this industry to meet their regulatory requirements and the responsible corporate citizens. 

DXC CDX teams is working with this group to develop the standards and ensure that CDX is a full  featured solution to meet their obligation. 

Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG)

The Automotive Industry Action Group is a not-for profit association founded in 1982 and based in Southfield, Michigan. It was originally created to develop recommendations and a framework for the improvement of quality in the North American automotive industry. CLEPA (European) and JAPIA (Japanese) are other affiliate group closely associated with AIAG. AIAG membership is composed of automotive OEMs and their supply chain members which is unique among the associations.

AIAG holds annual product compliance chemical management and IMDS summit. CDX is featured at Corporate Responsibility summit. DXC is an active member of AIAG and global supplier alliance (SUAL).

Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) 

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is the North American-based international trade group for more than 800 member companies, providing business development resources for manufacturers of equipment, products and services used worldwide in the construction, agriculture, forestry, mining and utility fields.


AEM Regulatory Compliance Steering Committee conducted a multi-year evaluation to assess many options to address the complex issue of compliance management for AEM industry groups and decided on CDX platform as the best solution that has met their rigorous requirements.
 

Responsible Minerals Initiative
(RMI) 

With more than 380 member companies, the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) is one of the most utilized and respected resources for companies from a range of industries addressing responsible mineral sourcing issues in their supply chains. RMI has developed from Conflict Minerals Smelter initiatives of which CDX team was an important founding member.

RMI provides companies with tools and resources to make sourcing decisions that improve regulatory compliance and support responsible sourcing of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
